Sissi Hou is a Chinese fashion model, born in Harbin, China. She was discovered by Miss Fang, an agent at Paras Models in China, as a finalist at the Elite Model Look international modelling competition in 2010. She soon went on to sign with IMG Models in New York City.
Young Career Although the Chinese born fashion model is a newcomer to the modeling world, she displays an expert level prowess at her craft, something that most likely comes from her solid education in the field. While in her home country, Hou attended college and majored in modeling.
In her third year she participated in the Elite Model Look competition and placed in the top 15. She signed a professional contract with Paras Models, and then moved to New York City.
She hadn’t been in New York City for more than a week before booking her first campaign, Céline’s pre-fall show during New York Fashion Week, something Hou say’s is her favorite modeling job to date. In 2012 she walked the runway for Uno, Kenzo, and Phillip Lim for their fall/winter 2012 collections. She’s advertised for, and exhibited the brands of Louis Vuitton, CÉLINE, Dior, and editorial spreads in V Magazine, Numero Homme China, and Harper’s Bazaar China.
Hobbies and Favorites Hou loves Jazz music, and likes to keep in shape doing yoga, running, and swimming. She also does a lot of reading, and her favorite piece of clothing are “any and all jeans!” Though she has been to Paris already, she hopes to visit again, along with Milan and Los Angeles.
