Kirsten Owen is an English born Canadian model. She was scouted in Toronto and began modeling at the age of 16.
In 1987 she appeared on the cover for Elle Spain, Italy and France. It took two more years before Kirsten Owen got her big break in the fashion world when she was on the cover of French Marie Claire in 1989 and on the cover of i-D in 1990.
She then went on to walk Jil Sander, Prada, Chloe, Yohji Yamamoto, Dries Van Noten, Calvin Klein and others.
Kirsten Owen is signed with Select Model Management London, d’management group Milan, Oui Management Paris and One Management New York.
In 1987, Kirsten Owen appeared on the covers of Elle France, Spain and Italy.
In 1990, she was on the cover of i-D and walked for Jil sander in Milan.

In 1996, Kirsten Owen walked the fall show in Milan for Prada.
In 1997, she became the face for Helmut Lang, she appeared in an editorial for Elle that was photographed by Christopher Kutner, she walked the fall shows for Calvin Klein, Chloe, Helmut Lang, Yohji Yamamoto and Dries Van Noten in New York and Paris, she appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue that was photographed by Steven Meisel and she appeared in an editorial for Italian Vogue that was photographed by Paolo Roeversi.
In 1999, Kirsten Owen became the face of Fendi that was photographed by Karl Lagerfeld; she walked the spring shows for Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent in Milan and Paris.
In 2000, she became the face of Emanuel Ungaro and she appeared in an editorial for French Vogue that was photographed by lee Jenkins.
In 2001, Kirsten Owen walked the spring shows in Paris for Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Givenchy; she walked the fall shows for Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Moschino, Burberry and Rochas in New York, Milan and Paris. She also appeared in two editorials for Italian Vogue.
In 2002, Kirsten Owen appeared in an editorial for V that was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
In 2003, she appeared in an editorial for L’Officiel.
In 2006, Kirsten Owen returned to the runway and closed the show for Kenzo in Paris.
In 2008, Kirsten Owen returned as one of the faces for Givenchy and she also became the face of Marc Jacobs.
In 2009, she signed with the fragrance Calvin Klein One and she appeared on the runway for the fall Preen show in New York.
In 2010, Kirsten Owen appeared in an editorial for W that was photographed by Bruce Weber.
In 2012, she was part of an ad campaign for Marc O’Polo; she appeared in editorials for W, Interview and Purple Fashion and was on the cover of Corduroy Magazine.
In 2013, she walked for Prada and Alberta Ferretti, she was on the covers of Numero China and Twin magazine, and she appeared in editorials for Numero China, Dazed & Confused, Interview Russia, Harper’s Bazaar UK, i-D magazine, Love magazine and others. Kirsten Owen was also part of ad campaigns for Prada and Tse.
In 2014, Kirsten Owen was part of ad campaigns for Creatures of the Wind and Opening Ceremony; she appeared in editorials for Garage Magazine, Tank Magazine, Muse, and Numero Tokyo among others. Kirsten Owen was also on the cover of Muse, Mixte and The Edit and walked for Chanel, Rochas, Lanvin, Zadig & Voltaire, Rick Owens and others.
More recently in 2015, Kirsten Owen has been on the cover of Zoo magazine, she has appeared in editorials for Purple Fashion, British Vogue, Zoo Magazine and Modern weekly and she has been in ad campaigns for Lanvin and Barneys.
