She has appeared in print ads for Lord & Taylor's with Carolyn Murphy and Lauren Hutton.
In 2008, she was on the cover of Dazed & Confused.
In 2009 she became the face for Les Copains and then later joined the Lacoste models.

In 2010, Kate Somers made the decision to leave Ford Models and went to sign with Supreme Management.
She then closed the fall show in New York for Tracy Reese and opened for Issey Miyake, she was on the cover of Lula that was photographed by Damon Heath, in Paris she walked for Jean Paul Gaultier couture fall show and she closed the spring shows for Lacoste and Jenny Packham in New York and London.
In 2011, Kate Somers walked for Jean Paul Gaultier spring show in Paris and she appeared in an editorial for Vogue that was photographed by Mario Testino.
