James Neate is a little bit of a bad boy in the modeling world. He was born in 1985 in Vancouver, Canada.
James Neate was discovered by Liz Bell whilst he was walking down the street in his hometown and was sent to New York immediately.
James Neate’s inspiration has always been his parents. He loves his family as well as a good cup of coffee and the mountains. He is also a fan of rock n roll and enjoys playing hockey, snowboarding and to read.
James Neate is currently living in New York and he had a brief relationship with Paris Hilton.

In 2006, James Neate signed a contract with Request Model Management New York. Later in the year he walked shows in New York for Narciso Rodriguez, Diesel and Mark Jacobs. James Neate featured on the cover of 10 Men that was photographed by Serge Leblon for their fall issue.
In 2007, he left his agency and went on to sign a contract with DNA Models. In 2007 he walked the fall show for Dolce & Gabbana in Milan. He then went on to do an editorial for V Magazine that was photographed by Terry Tsiolis with Mariya Markina.
James Neate got his big break when he signed for Helmut Lang and was the official face for the brand. He also then signed a contract with Lacoste and was photographed by David Sims. He also appeared in an editorial for Dazed and Confused.
In the same year he walked for Dries Van Noten, Just Cavalli and D&G for the shows in Paris and Milan.
In late 2007, he was photographed by Takay for Velvet for an editorial. At the end of 2007, James Neate modeled for Kenneth Cole and he also appeared in their catalogue.
In 2008, he was on the runway for Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, and Vivienne Westwood for their Paris and Milan shows. He also walked in New York for Adam and Eve, Lacoste, Duckie Brown, Thom Browne and John Varvatos for their fall collections.
In 2009, James Neate acted in the Italian feature film known, as “I am Love”. Also that year he walked in the spring show in Paris for Louis Vuitton and John Galliano and also starred in KT Auleta’s film “Runaway” with Isabelle McNally and Coco Young.
In 2010 he did an ad campaign for Strellson spring/summer collection and for the No1. Fragrance. He also did an ad campaign for Guess accessories for the fall/winter collection.
In 2013 he was on the cover for Modern Luxury fall issue.
Even though he is still considered a bad boy, James Neate is still a boy that people want to work with and represent their brands.
