Eva Herzigová was born on 10 March 1973 and is an esteemed actress and model. Born in Litvínov, Czechoslovakia (now known as Czech Republic), Eva started her career in modeling after emerging as the winner of a beauty modeling contest, which was held in Prague in 1989 at the young age of 16. Once she arrived in Paris, her popularity on the modeling circuit soared and she began to grace several fashion runways.
Eva’s first prominent modeling appearance was as the lead model for the first ever Wonderbra promotional campaign that was held in 1994. She also featured in a few Guess Jeans ads. Eva has also made an appearance in Sports Illustrated magazine and the Victoria’s Secret catalog. She has made several appearances in movies. In 2006, she played Venus at the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.
Her racy Wonderbra ad campaign developed by TBWA resulted in several imitations across the world for its bold statement, although it wasn’t without its controversy - receiving several complaints for demeaning women. More recently, Eva had a starring role in the fashion art film produced by Image Fashion. The movie was called Decadent Control along with Roberto Cavalli.
Over the years, Eva has graced the covers of several fashion magazines across the world - Vogue UK, Elle Spain, Vanity Fair Italy, V Magazine, Elle Italy, Tatler Russia, AMICA Italy, Harper’s Bazaar UK, Marie Claire Spain, Grazia Italy. In 2014, she was on the cover of Glass UK, Vogue Thailand, Madame Figaro France and Thailand, Glamour Italy and Glass UK.
