Czech model Densia Dvorakova was born May 28th 1989 in the Czech Republic. Standing at 5 ft 9.5 inches with hazel eyes, this super model from Prague has been on the runway since she was sixteen years old. Known for her apathetic, calm demeanor, Densia was not originaly the type to go out and actively pursue a career as a model. She was discovered when her mother pressured her to go and attend the Elite Model Contest that was scouting for new models in 2005. Sure enough, she took everyone by storm and won the competition. As soon she signed on with the agency, she walked the runway in 2006 in Milan and Paris for Prada, Chole and Chanel. The current agency she works for is DNA. Dvorakova is mostly known for her high cheekbones and long stunning legs. She currently lives in New York, New York and continues work in the fashion world.
Dvorakova has been relatively silent in the modeling world as of late. She mainly does editorials and a few campaigns here and there, but has been in very few shows in recent years. Before she stopped walking the runway, however, she walked for designers such as Versace, Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Fendi, Christian Dior, John Galliano, and Valention, mainly for their fall shows and most of the time in Paris. It was shows such as these that launched Dvorakova into a highly successful modeling career. It was not always so easy for the Czech model, however. She had a hard time getting used to being a model because she had a bad language barrier and could not speak a word of English, leading to obvious communication issues at many points in her career. She recalls doing a show in Singapore and having a hard time with it because she could understand no one. Thankfully there was one other Czech model there with more experience than her who helped her through the tough situation. Even though she does not walk on the runways that often her face can still be seen in many fashion magazines today, and she is still a well-recognized name within the industry.
Her first editorial was with V magazine in 2006 but for the ten years she has been in the modeling world she has done it for numerous fashion magazines. She has appeared in the German Vogue and Elle: has done three editorials for Italian Flair: appeared Zoo magazine alongside Daul Kim: the Italian Marie Claire for an editorial. While Dvorakova’s modeling fame may be less stellar than many models, particularly as of recently, she has still made many accomplishments both in and outside of the fashion industry.
