American model Darla Baker was born on December 13 in 1988 to Polish and native Cherokee parents in Salem, Oregon giving her a distinct look. She has dark brown hair and green eyes and is known for her doll-like eyes and pouty lips. Away from the world of modelling Darla likes to paint and do craft and learned piano for many years and even taught music for a while.
In 2005, Darla visits Mode Models and is signed with them and later she signs with Elite New York City and Toronto, Pop Models Milan, Priscilla Australia and MODELWERK Hamburg.
2005 Darla makes her debut in the Nolita campaign and in 2006 she was chosen by Karl Lagerfeld himself to appear wearing his Chanel couture fashion designs at the opening of the Hong Kong Resort.
2006 was a busy year for Darla as she appeared in fashion shows wearing designs by Cynthia Rowley, Nanette Lepore, Giambattista Valli, Zac Posen and Viktor & Rolf in Paris and New York. Other designers included Oscar de la Renta, Miu Miu, Kenzo and Alessandro Dell’acqua in Paris and Chanel Couture. She also models for the Neiman Marcus and Express ad campaigns and appears in an editorial in Teen Vogue. In October of the same year, Darla appears with Alyssa Miller on the cover of German Vogue.
In 2007, she becomes the face for Giuseppe Zanotti and appears on the covers of Fashion, French Revue de Modes and Italian Numero. Editorials featuring Darla appear in Blackbook, Interview, Nylon and Russian L’Officiel. This year Darla also models for Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom as campaigns and wears fashion by several designers including Alexander Wang, Chanel Couture, Anna Sui and Thakoon and Tuleh.
At the beginning of 2008 Darla misses the fall ready to wear season shows and only makes an appearance for Chris Benz in New York. She again models for Neiman Marcus and appears on the cover of Vogue Gioiello and in an editorial in Wonderland.
In 2010, Darla appears in an editorial in French Marie Claire where she is photographed by Nelson Simoneau. This year is in Liberty of London for Target advertisements and Chinese GQ.
In 2011, Darla becomes the face for Sisley and appears in L’Officiel.
2012 sees Darla appear in an editorial in Glamour Paris where she was photographed by Walter Chin. She also appears on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar.
