Christian Brylle is a Danish model, born in Denmark in 1985, began his modeling career when Mario Testino requested him for an editorial in Vogue France 2006 edition. In 2007, Christian became the face of Hugo Boss.
Christian has one of those faces that shine under the light of the camera. Early in his career, he had so many editorials that led to ad campaigns and runway shows it’s as they are linked. Mario Testino photographed him more than once and helped to launch him into the spotlight. Mixte, Vogue Hommes International, Purple, and GQ style are a limited sample of the magazines that published him. He was featured in Helmut Lang’s catalog, walked on the Paris runway for Yves Saint Laurent and John Galliano. He walked for Vivienne Tam and rag and bones in New York, this sums up his runway parades for 2009. He was chosen for several ad campaigns as well, Gucci, Costume National, and Uniqlo Jeans. He was also a favorite for editorials and magazine covers like Italian Vogue, Dazed and Confused Japan, I-d and, V Man.
Christian Brylle always had an interest in photography, but few realized he would switch to the other side of the lens. Not only did he change roles but he also performs each one to perfection. In a 2011 interview with Dazedigital, Christian discussed his inspiration to change. He states that he enjoys bringing emotions to photographic characters and giving them life. He said his camera was a vision of himself. Furthermore, he feels the internet has lifted numerous restrictions photographers once had to deal with, like accessibility, geography, and cultural differences.
Christian speaks of his fascination with the contrasts and similarities between his roles. Modeling and photographing models are so alike and so opposite at the same time. He sees his modeling experience as a type of training for his current career and is grateful for the opportunity to work with some of the best photographers in the world.
, Christian was the model and the photographer for an editorial in 2010 with Freja Beha Erichsen (and Christian) for Vman. Again in 2012, he photographed Freja again for Dansk and did an editorial in 2013 for Burberry.
