Candice Huffine is a plus-size model. She was born on October 15, 1984 in Georgetown, D.C. That is not, however, the place where she grew up. The suburbs of Maryland provided her a happy childhood and basically all she did all her life was modeling more or less professionally.
Candice Huffine mostly appeared in fashion magazines. Because she is a plus-size model, she doesn't get to walk for many fashion shows, at least not yet. She is the first plus-size model to ever appear in the Pirelli Calendar in 2015. She went to New York when she was 14 to become a high fashion model and she succeeded without having to lose weight. She was always into modeling, being a beauty queen and a cheerleader in her hometown.
Candice Huffine's career started when she was 14 and took a trip to New York to sign with an agency. However, she went to school and did modeling as a side job until she graduated. After she signed a contract in 2000, she appeared in numerous magazines and posed for numerous ad campaigns. In 2010, Solve Sundsbo photographs Huffine for V magazine's spring issue and a few months later, in June 2011 she has the pleasure of working with renowned photographer Steven Meisel for the cover of Italian Vogue. Her second collaboration with Steven Meisel was for a W editorial in September 2011. She walks for Lane Bryant and Isabel Toledo's runway shows too. 2012 brings her a lot of work as well. She models for Marina Rinaldi's look book appears in March W editorial and June German Vogue editorial. She is still in high demand and she will definitely not be retiring after her accomplishment with the Pirelli Calendar. Steven Meisel also takes her picture for the Pirelli Calendar.
Candice Huffine is a size 13 model who likes to cook and eat healthily. She exercises on a daily basis in order to maintain her figure, but she is not trying to lose weight. She is married since 2011 with Matt Powers. She calls herself a girlie girl and she loves to listen to country music. Walking and exploring is something that she likes to do. Huffine is very confident on her natural beauty and curvy body and she thinks that the industry is about to change, eliminating the clear delimitation between straight models and plus-size models.
