Cameron Russell was born on June 14, 1987. Her hometown is Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is a fashion model and an entrepreneur who is involved in different art projects and who is an activist for positive social change.
Cameron Russell was discovered in 2003 when she was on vacation. She went to Maine to have a nice relaxing time and got lucky. One year later, she signed a contract with Ford Models and made her debut at Prada and Fendi shows in Milan. This was a big step for her career that lasts for over a decade now. Teen Vogue publishes an editorial with her in June 2004, an editorial that starts an endless row of editorials for Vogue and other magazines alike. Some of the campaigns she signed up for are for major fashion houses, such as Louis Vuitton, Tod's, Belstaff, Esprit, Pepe Jeans, Ann Taylor, Lauren Ralph Lauren, Calzedonia, Free Soul and CK White Label.
After her debut in Milan, Cameron Russell continued to work part-time as a model. She accepted to be the face of Jill Stuart's fall ad campaign. 2005 brings her collaborations with Oscar de la Renta, CK Jeans, and Yves Saint Laurent. Italian Vogue and American Vogue publish editorials with her while British Harper's Bazaar put her on its cover. 2006 is the year when she first changes agencies. She leaves Ford Models and signs with DNA Management. Being the face of Giorgio Armani cosmetics attracts even more attention on her, so she appears in H&M, Lacoste, Armani Jeans and Salvatore Ferragamo ad campaigns. She once again appears on the cover of British Harper's Bazaar and of Italian Marie Claire.
The following year is not very active for Cameron Russell because she takes a break from runways. She makes her comeback for Oscar de la Renta and Ralph Lauren shows in New York. In addition, she becomes the face of John Frieda. In 2008, she leaves DNA Management in New York and signs with Women Management. In 2009, Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, and Terry Richardson take her photo for different magazines. In 2010, Cameron Russell graces numerous publications with her fantastic figure among which are Allure, Vogue, Spanish Vogue, German Vogue and Numero. She is also active in 2012 for the Tod's fall ad campaign. She is known for collaborating with Victoria's Secret as well.
Cameron Russell was always focused on school and she was into politics since she was little. She graduated from the Columbia University, where she studied economics and politics. She met former president Bill Clinton when she was 10 years old. Since then, she has developed small side projects because she knew that her modeling career will eventually end. She runs a blog, she is the director of the Big Bad Lab and the co-founder of an online magazine called Interrupt. Russell is a vegetarian, who is passionate about both martial arts and street art. She is not currently involved in any serious relationship.
