Baptiste Giabiconi

The handsome and stylish French model and singer, Baptiste Giabiconi, was born on 9th November, 1989 in Marignane, France. Prior to his modeling career, Baptiste used to work at the international helicopter support and manufacturing company, Eurocoptor. He also trained as a mechanical adjustor in Aeronautics and obtained a professional Baccalauréat in “Accueil et Service” and a Brevet d'études professionnelles (BEP) in restoration. During his time at Eurocoptor, Baptiste was suggested to create a portfolio to which he responded positively and managed to sign a deal with DNA Model Management in New York in 2008. The same year, Karl Lagerfeld signed him as the male face for Chanel and Baptiste also modeled for the Frankie Morello Spring Ad Campaign. Therefore, this marked the beginning of his lucrative modeling career and Baptiste was now being recognized all around France and New York. By the end of 2008, Baptiste walked the Spring Chanel Show in Paris and Pre-fall Chanel Show in Moscow and appeared in the editorials for Italian Elle and German Vogue and the fall issue of Numero Homme (Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld). In 2009, Baptiste became the male face of Karl Lagerfeld and Fendi and walked at the fall Chanel Show in Paris and Resort Chanel Show in Venice. Additionally, he also appeared in Harper’s Bazaar Editorial, Spring Issue of Numero Homme, Japanese Vogue Editorial, German Vogue Editorial, and closed the spring Chanel Show in Paris, alongside Lara Stone and Freja Beha. A year later, Baptiste renewed his contract with Chanel and appeared in the Just Cavalli Campaign, alongside Kate Moss. He also managed to become the official face of Coca Cola Light, alongside Coco Rocha and featured on the cover of Chinese L’Officiel Hommes (Photographed by Xiang Sun), spring cover and fall issue Numero Homme (Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld). Additionally, Baptiste closed the Chanel Couture Show in Paris, with Iris Strubegger and made his musical debut with the hit electro-pop single “Showtime”. In 2011, Baptiste once again renewed his contract with Chanel and Fendi and even managed to become the face of Dior Homme. The same year, he closed the fall Chanel show in Paris, appeared in the nude spread for Interview (Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld), featured in the editorials for Harper’s Bazaar and German Vogue, and modeled for the Dior Homme Fall Ad Campaign. The next year, Baptiste appeared in the Peplum Numero Homme Editorial and modeled for the Dior Homme Spring Ad Campaign and released his LP Oxygen album that mixed R&B with contemporary pop with electronic elements. In 2013, he appeared in the Stern Magazine, Chanel, DSECTION Magazine, Schon Magazine, and Manifesto Magazine Editorials and featured in the Chanel F/W 13 Show. This year, Baptiste plans to go the extra mile and will most probably be releasing another album. So far, he’s appeared on the ODDA Magazine Cover of March and featured in the spring campaign of Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2015.
