Alyssa Miller was raised in Los Angeles. Her heritage of German, Irish, and Native American often makes people think she is an Italian model. She has gained comparison in media to Brooke Shields and Sophia Loren due to her looks. It was her father that got her started in modeling by sending her photos to the IMG Models agency in Los Angeles. This occurred in 2003 and by 2005 she was considered an upcoming model. Since her start she has been on the cover of magazines as well as done runway modeling work for different agencies.
While working for IMG Models, Alyssa Miller has mostly done campaigns, lookbooks, and editorials. She has appeared in a number of magazines including Allure, Cosmo, Elite Traveler, French Revue De Modes, Galorer, GQ Mexico and Turkey. She also completed modeling work for Harper’s Bazaar Turkey, Self, Singles Korea, Sportswear, International, Vogue Latin America, and Wurth Calendar. One of the brands she has modeled for is Intimissimi.
Alyssa has had a wonderful career in fashion as well as appearing as the muse for Bluemarine Bellissima fragrance and being in the 2013 Train music video titled “Mermaid.” It was in 2013 that she signed with IMG with an appearance in the 80th anniversary of Esquire as well as on the cover for Galore’s Calendar Girl issue. Miller has started Live the Process with Robyn Berkley. It is a meditation clothing line. Alyssa has definitely rose in the ranks of models with many publication credits and plenty of cover appearances. She has also been a leader against bullying and cyberbullying working with Jameel McClain for STOMP Out Bullying, a national campaign. She started this work in 2013.
Alyssa Miller has been a model with IMG and Marilyn NY. She also signed with Elite Model Management later on in 2011.
Although her father submitted photos in 2003, it was in 2005 that she really gained notice as part of Marilyn NY Agnecy. She appeared in a fall 2005 fall campaign for Stella McCartney.
A year later she was in major Vogue editions like Vogue Italia and Vogue Germany.
She appeared in Elle in 2010 and then again in 2012, this time on the cover.
During her career she has appeared as one of the faces for Guess as well as a Victoria Secret model. Other work before 2011 included Bebe, Billabong, Diesel, Chopard, Juicy Couture, Elie Tahari, Laura Biagiotti and La Perla.
While working for Elite Model Management, Alyssa Miller has appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. She was considered one of five rookies for the 2011 edition.
Alyssa appeared in her third SI swimsuit edition in 2013. She also appeared in the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition where David Letterman’s Top 10 are shown as well as the cover model is announced.
