Aj Abualrub is an American fashion model, who was born on June 20, 1987 in Ohio but he grew up in Kentucky according to his “self-interview” on youtube. (1) He was born to an Saudi Arabian father, who worked as a translator, and a Cleveland born mother of German descent. HIs family, due to his father’s work, moved frequently while he was a child and he lived in eight separate countries as a child. He has six siblings and the entire family moved to Florida in 2001.
He is six feet two inches and was a wrestler in college. He also is a practitioner of the martial arts. He was found and developed as a model when he signed to be a participant in the VMan Ford Models Search, in Los Angeles in May of 2007. At that time, he was a semi-finalist in the Ford Models Search, and was immediately signed by the Ford Models agency. (2) Aj’s birth name is Ahmad Jalal and he is one-half Arabic descent on his father's side.

He became the face of Calvin Klein in 2009. From that point he modeled for editorials in GQ Style and in the same year walked the runways for Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli and Versace in Milan, Italy. Before 2009 ended, he also was photographed for editorials in Daved & Confused and Details magazine. He would go on to runway model for Tommy Hilfiger in a spring rag & bone spring show.
Contemporary social media has created star vehicles for many models and AJ Abualrub has a fan video on youtube. (4)
His intent after modeling is to use his college degree to work in the business world in New York.
