The highly successful American model, Agatha Relota, has graced the cover of 'L'Officiel' in November of 2000 in France and also the cover of 'W' in the US. Her fashion shows for the houses of Chanel, Bill Blass, Issey Miyake, Claude Montana and Jeremy Scott as well as Elspeth Gibson began in 1999 and continued through 2001. She also did work for YSL.
Her full name is Agatha Kristina Relota and her career really began at the age of four as a dancer when she started ballet. She studied hard and when she was 10 she joined the New Jersey Ballet School and the New York Ballet School later on. During this time she performed in the Nutcracker as a regular which was produced at the famous Paper Mill Playhouse. While ballet was her first love, ballroom dancing piqued her interest and at 17 she began taking lessons in that genre. It didn't take Agatha long to begin competitive dancing in various styles.
Her two nieces asked her to teach them to dance and while doing some research into books on the subject of ballroom dancing she found a void. This led her to take several years writing her own book on the subject. Her book Carla and Leo's World of Dance came to fruition. With this new book she has opened up ballroom dancing to a new generation because of her presentation of it as hip, fashionable and cool. Today she is mother of two children.
She has worked for Dominique Models (Brussels), Storm Models (London), Brave Model Management (Milan), Okay Models (Hamburg), talents Models and City Models (Paris), Diva Models and Stage Model Agency (Denmark).
