Vika Volkute

Vika Volkute (b. May 24, 1990) is a fashion model from Panevezys, Lithuania. Her recent runway work includes 2014 shows for: 3.1 Philip Lim, Academy of Art University, Band of Outsiders, Angelo Marani, DKNY, Guy Laroche, Carolina Herrera, Filippa K, Jen Kao, House of Holland, Hervé Léger, Jo No Fui, Marissa Webb, Lacoste, Lela Rose, Rachel Zoe, Sophie Theallet, Reem Acra, Monique Lhullier, Peter Pilotto for Target, Richard Chai, Tod’s, Zimmermann, Wes Gordon, Tome, and Aganovich. She has also appeared in catwalk shows for Fatima Lopes, Emporio Armani, Lie Sang Bong, Just Cavalli, Marie Bishara, Gran Canaria Moda Calida, Barbara Bui, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, 1 Classe Alviero Martini, Les Copains, Mila Schön, and Roccobarocco. In 2008, she walked the runway in Madrid's Bridal Fashion Week and was featured in Barcelona Bridal the same year. Lookbooks in which she has appeared include: Frankie Morello Prefall fall/winter 2012, Anne Valérie Hash spring/summer 2014, and Citizens of Humanity Spring 2014.

Volkute has appeared in editorials for City Magazine (August 2013), Hercules Magazine (fall/winter 2012), and Lula Magazine (fall/winter 2013), as well as appearing in Velvet, L’Officiel, and Flare Magazine. In 2012, Volkute appeared on the cover of Glamour Italy for the feature “Woman in Paris,” which featured the brands Barbara Bui, Dries van Noten, Pepe Jeans London, Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole Farhi, Sigerson Morrison, Naracamicie, Kenzo, Tod's, Pringle of Scotland, Mango, Swarovski Jewelry, Sportmax Code, Mawi, Albino, Gianvito Rossi, Maison Martin Margiela, GF Farre, Barbara Casasola, H&M, Burberry Prorsum, N° 21, Kontatto, Guy Laroche, Desigual, Alberto Guardiani, Vanessa Bruno, Marni, Christian Louboutin, Fay, Carpisa, Preen, Cos, Calvin Klein Collection, Giuseppe Zanotti, Vionette, MAX&CO, Anna Rita N., Diego Dolcini, Moschino, Gabriele Colangelo, and Manila Grace. Other magazine covers she has featured on are Velvet Italy (February 2011) and L’Officiel (November 2010). Her advertising campaign credits include work for Max Mara Studio, Women’s Secret, Springfield, and Nesé Relax. She also received attention for her appearance in a notable 2013 magazine ad campaign for the Swedish retailer NK featuring padded walls, eccentric looks, colorful layered fabrics, and whimsical styles.

Volkute became a professional model after doing some modeling work for a designer friend at a Lithuanian young designer competition. In 2006, she competed in a “Miss Model of the World” competition. She is known in the industry for her green eyes and versatile, sophisticated style, making her one of the most in-demand models currently working. Volkute describes her personal style as “simple but cool at the same time,” and says she would rather wear flats than the heels she wears on most of her photo shoots and runway shows. Her favorite current designer is Stella McCartney, and she loves to work in Barcelona more than any other city. Volkute says she looks forward to Fashion Week in Milan. Her hobbies outside of modeling include travel and horseback riding.

Modeling agencies Volkute works with include: IMG in New York, Paris, and Milan, London’s Storm Model Management, Uno Models in Barcelona, IMM Bruxelles, Oslo’s TFM, Stockholmsgruppen, GH Management Mexico City, Diva Models Denmark, and m4 Models in Hamburg, among others.
