Svetlana Lazareva (b. September 22, 1985) is a Lithuanian international fashion model. Recent magazine covers featuring Lazareva include November 2011’s Collezione Donna Russia and December 2010's Gloria. She has appeared in multiple fashion shows, including 2007-2008 fall/winter collections from Albino, Ana Sekularac, Ashley Isham, C'N'C Costume National, Kisa, Laura Biagiotti, Luisa Beccaria, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Marios Schwab, Maurizio Pecoraro, Moschino, Moschino Cheap & Chic, Neil Barrett, Paola Frani, Peter Jensen, Preen, Yigal Azrouel, Zero Maria Cornejo and Roccobarocco. Her spring/summer shows from the same year include ready to wear looks by Derek Lam and Enrico Coveri, as well as Albino, Argentovivo, Blugirl, Blumarine, Chado Ralph Rucci, Development by Erica Davies, Douglas Hannant, Helmut Lang, John Richmond, Laura Biagiotti, Paola Frani, Valentin Yudashkin, and Vivienne Westwood.
She became a model after winning a national Baltic Models contest at the age of 14, and has since appeared in many prominent fashion publications such as Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Allure, and Nylon, as well as numerous runway shows. Beginning her career at the age of 15, Lazareva was one of the youngest international models working at the time. In 2004, she appeared on the cover of Italy’s Gioia. Lazareva also appeared in Grazia in October 2006. Other cover credits include D and Eurowoman. A recent Harper's Bazaar editorial shows Lazareva in a selection of dramatic black ensembles. She also posed on the Great Wall of China as part of a Fendi campaign, and has done advertisements for Miss Money Money. Lazareva has worked with prominent photographers such as Diego Uchitel, Russell James, Michel Comte, and Derek Henderson. She also featured in a series of photos by Paul de Luna. Lazareva is known for her dark blonde hair, hazel eyes, and striking features, often appearing in cosmetics advertisements and high-profile magazine editorials.
Lazareva lives in New York and has worked with IMG Models, Silent Models, Modelwerk, Elite Model Management, and Clyne Model Management.
