Montana Cox

Montana Con, born in 2nd September 1993, is an Australian model, best known as the Winner of Cycle 7 of Australia's Next Top Model. She attended Warrandyte Eltham College where she was a keen netball player and graduated in 2005. It is during her final year of school in 2012 where her mum persuaded her to audition for the 7th season of Australia's Next Top Model. Coz expected to be eliminated straight away, but to her surprise she proceeded and ended up skipping more than three months of school and doing her final exams around the finale of the shows.

A major highlight of her time of the show was during Episode 10 with designer Alex Perry who compared her to Cindy Crawford, saying, “She is the calibre of the girl you would see in any international fashion magazine.” An American designer Fernando Frisoni, further stated, “I would book Montana Cox with my eyes closed. I would consider her opening my show.” Sarah Murdoch, Charlotte Dawson and Antoni gave their final decision that Cox should be the winner, with Murdoch calling her “a supermodel in the making.” After winning, Edwin McCann, Harper Bazaar Australia editor stated that Coz was, “the perfect discovery of Australia's Next Top Model or any Next Top Model series.” Coz is the second winner of AusNTM, who had never before made a bottom two appearance.

After winning the competition, she also won an eight-page spread in the magazine. Other prizes included a modelling contract with Chic Model Management, a Ford Fiesta, twenty thousand dollars in cash and an overseas trip to New York City to meet with NEXT Model Management.

She has since gone further to being one of the most valued celebrity of FOXTEL. She has appeared in a major campaign for Lovisa, Betts Shoes, Witchery's A/W 2012 campaign and Maurie and Eve Winter 2012 campaign. In February 2012, Cox made her appearance at the David Jones Autumn/Winter fashion show besides famous Vogue cover girls Samantha Harris and Miranda Kerr. She later travelled to Paris and Milan, where she worked with Christian Dior, Lanvin, Pucci and Kenzo.

In June 2012, Montana Cox made an appearance for Pink Lou Lou and editorials for the Madison Magazine as well as the Vogue Australia Magazine. In August the same year, she was featured in Vogue Australia for the third time and also appeared in some campaigns including Colette by Colette Dinnigan, Spring/Summer lookbook for Gary Bigen as well as LIFEwithBIRD's 10th anniversary show.

In Australia 2012, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, she walked for Romance Was Born, Gary Bigeni, Ksubi, Toni Maticevski and Ginger & Smart before returning to Paris for the Chanel shows in Versailles.

Her major highlights in the international career to date include Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld. She has a relaxed sense of runway style: “I'm a real jeans girl, just black skinny jeans, boots and a T-shirt, and I'm done. She also says, “I'm very Melbourn, I never wear colours, just black and white.”
