Kathy Ireland was discovered when she was 17 years old by an agent form Elite Model Management. She was already working as a model before she even graduated from high school.
When Kathy Ireland was 19 years old she began her long lasting relationship with Sports Illustrated. For 13 years on the trot from 1984 to 1996, Kathy Ireland graced the pages of the magazine and she was also on the cover for three of these issues. Her first cover was for the 25th Anniversary of the Swimsuit edition.
Kathy Ireland also appeared in numerous films and landed television roles.

In 1980, Kathy Ireland began to model locally and in 1982 she got her first key job when she appeared on the cover of Vogue.
In 1983 she appeared on a Cosmopolitan cover.
In 1985, Caress soap casted her in a TV commercial and in 1986 she appeared in TV commercials for Fruit of the Loom.
In 1988, Kathy Ireland and Dr. Greg Olsen got married.
In 1989, Kathy Ireland was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue for their 25th anniversary.
In 1992, she was casted in Budweiser television commercials and she was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. Kathy Ireland then released calendar in 1993.
