John Hein

John Hein is a 24-year-old American model from Michigan, currently living in New York City. Before venturing into modelling, John was a musician and a student at the University of Michigan, studying environmental studies. He took classes with the hippies in Patagonia jackets. After finishing school in 2011, John moved to LA. This is where his modelling career began in when a friend who was a designer, invited him to appear in a photo shoot. After the photo shoot, the photographer sent him to several other agencies in LA. He was later invited to Ford where he was signed as a model in L.A. Later; he did an Interview Magazine shoot with Karl Templer and Craig Mcdean. It was a story about menswear called “Double Vision”. This was right after going to Milan where he did all Karl shows including Belstaff, Valentino and Bottega.

In June 2012, John Hein did his first runway followed by another in New York Fashion Week on September the same year. He walked in Custo Barcelona, Tommy Hilfiger, Siki Im and Robert Geller. Later on, he visited Japan for some time where he signed with Bon Image. His favourite designers include Jil Sander, Robert Geller and Raf Simons.

His career has grown stronger having walked for Bottega, Valentino, Tommy Hilfiger, Belstaff, Custo Barcelona and Versus Versace. Then, he never travelled outside U.S.A and Canada. He secured a place in Valentino in Florence, which featured 30 models. This was successful which opened doors for him in other places such as Bottega Veneta and Belstaff.

John's brings out his boyish looks in the newest season of Essential Homme, showcasing their spring's best pieces while wearing clothes from Lanvin, Calvin Klein and Polo.
