Johanna Jonsson

Johanna Johnson was born on 28th December, 1991 in Torsby, Sweden. Before settling on modelling, she first finished school. She first heard about modelling on a website and a pop up came up saying, “Wanna Be a Model?” and she sent some pictures of herself and there she was given a chance. In 2005, she contested for the International Elite Model Look contest and she place third. She then signed with Elite in Milan and Paris in the same year. She did her first Haute Couture fashion shows for major labels such as Chanel where she became the favorite pick to do all their shows.

In 2006, she made a debut at the fall Jil Sander show in Milan which was an exclusives show. On March the same year, she walks the fall Aris, Kenzo, Chloe and Yohji Yamamoto shows in Paris. She appeared in Swedish Elle editorial, photographed by Adreas Sjodin. In August 2006, she walks the fall Anne Valerie Hash, Chanel counture and Armani Prive shows back in Paris. Also, she modelled for Flippa fall ad campaign and signed with DNA Management in New York.

In 2007, she became the face of Jil Sander and in February the same year, she walked for the fall Calvin Klein shows in New York. The same year, she featured on the cover of WWD, styled by Calvin Klein. Similarly, she appeared in the fall Burberry Prorsum, Prada, Jil Slander and Marni shows in Milan. Later, she walked alongside other models in the fall Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Chanel, and John Galliano shows in Paris.

On March 2007, she made an appearance on the cover of Dazed & Confused editorial. The same year, Mario Testino photographs Johanna Jonsson for D & G. This leads to more opportunities such as signing a contract with Marc Jacobs Daisy, captured by Juergen Teller. She has appeared in a new campaign promoting designer scents. The campaign features fragrances from Yves Saint Laurent, Jimmy Choo, Profumum and many more. Photographed by Jess Laitinen and styled by Garbergs, Johanna transforms into different kind of women with impressive hair and makeup thanks to Ignacio Alonso and Linda Shalabi.

In 2011, she featured in Mikael Schulz's beauty editorial ‘Just Heritage' together with Theres Alexandersson, and Sandrah Hellberg for Tush Magazine. On March 2009, she made a comeback to the runway, walking for Channe shows in Paris. As a spectacular model, she has some interesting hobbies such as writing music and playing the piano. Her favorite movie is Forrest Gumo while Hakan Hekkstrom is her favorite musical band.
