Jenny Sweeney Profile

Born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1990, Jenny Sweeney is as American fashion model known for her strong and prominent cheekbones. Sweeney measures a relatively short 5’9’’ in height, has brown hair, blue eyes and has body measurements of 32 bust, 24 waits and 34 hips with a size 8.5 shoe and size 4 dress. [1]

Sweeney’s career in the fashion industry began at the young age of just fifteen years old when she was signed to One Model Management. The buzz surrounding the young model paid off almost immediately, as within only her first week of being signed to an agency, Sweeney was hired to work with Gilles Bensimon for a feature in Elle magazine.

In February of 2007, Sweeney made a big impact on her runway debut when she walked for a number of high profile designers and houses in New York including Peter Som, Anna Aui, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti and DKNY.

This success on the American fashion week catwalk caught the eyes of many more influential figures in the industry, and within the next months Sweeney had landed her very first major cover, an appearance on the front of Italian Vogue shot by Steven Meisel.

The rest of 2007 proved to be a breakthrough year for Sweeney in terms of the print side of the fashion industry, with further highlights including an editorial in Japanese Vogue, an editorial in American Vogue shot by Raymond Meier, an editorial in V magazine, a cover for Italian Marie Claire and being photographed by Terry Tsiolis for part of a fall ad campaign for Alessandro Dell’Acqua.

2008 proved to be yet another successful year for Sweeney both on the runway and in ad campaigns and fashion publications around the world. With regards to the catwalk, Sweeney opened the fall show in New York for Yeohlee and also walked spring shows in New York for Malandrino and Betsey Johnson. She made numerous and regular appearances in leading fashion magazines through the year, the best of which being editorials for V and German Vogue, an editorial for Allure magazine shot by Tesh, and editorial in Spanish Vogue shot by Miguel Reveriego and an editorial in Italian Vogue shot by Greg Lotus. Further highlights of 2008 included appearing in the spring catalogue for Nordstrom and becoming the face of Piazza Sempione.

At the beginning of 2009, Sweeney made the decision to leave One Model Management and continue her career with Next Management instead. [2]
