Jae Yoo is from South Korea and was born in Busan.
Since the start of his career he has walked for Calvin Klein, Viktor & Rolf, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana and has also appeared in campaigns for Moncler Gamme Bleu that was photographed by Steven Meisel and he has done a campaign for Brioni.
Jae Yoo has admitted that his nickname is Yao Ming because he is so tall. He currently lives in Palisades Park, NJ. Jae Yoo does have a girlfriend that is a lady from back in college.
Jae Yoo has also said that he loves junk food and his favorites are milk chocolate and sour jelly candies.
He says that his best fitness tip is that you should concentrate on every rep that you do, as it is better to do one rep that is right then many reps that are wrong.
When Jae Yoo retires he says he would like to live on the west coast in either Seattle or Portland, but any part of California appeals to him.
His middle name is Hyukjae, but this is actually his first name in Korean, but because people had a problem pronouncing it he went with Jae.
Jae would also like to visit Spain and Japan soon.

Jae Yoo has said the best thing about being a male model is that you are able to experience more than other careers like meeting top designers, photographers, stylists, female models, hair and makeup artists and you also get to travel and experience different cultures.
He was also asked the question of how often he looked in the mirror. His response was that he only looks in the mirror after he gets out the shower.
Jae Yoo also said that he has recently read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and that he is looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
Jae Yoo has signed with PMA Hamburg, Why Not Model Management Milan, Bananas Models Paris and Soul Artist Management New York.
Jae Yoo signed a contract with Soul Artist Management in 2010 and in September of 2010, he made his debut with Tommy Hilfiger and walked the fashion show in New York.
In 2010 he was also photographed by Mariano Vivanco for the Japanese edition of Vogue.
In 2011, from February to July he walked for a variety of fashion houses in Paris and Milan and they include walks for G-Star, Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, John Galliano and Givenchy.
Also in 2011, Jae Yoo was the model for American Eagle and was photographed by Steven Klein for Vogue. He also walked for Michael Bastian and J.Crew in 2011.
