Iselin Steiro grew up in Harstad which is a small town in the northern part of Norway. She was discovered in 1999 when she was Christmas shopping with her parents in London. She then walked her first runway in 2003 for Prada and Calvin Klein.
In 2004, she finished high school and moved to New York in order to pursue her modelling career which didn’t take long to take off.
Iselin then moved back to Norway in 2006 to study, but she carried on appearing in advertising campaign and magazine editorials.
During a break from her studies in 2009, Iselin went back to the runways and walked for over 20 most desired fashion shows. This then led to the busiest seasons in her career.
Iselin has worked with many of the best photographers, designers, magazines, brands and editors in fashion.
Iselin has gone on to state that the five things that she can’t live without are Cocoa Butter from The Body Shop, dental floss, water, carrots and chewing gum
Team Models is Iselin’s mother agency. The other agencies are Team Models, Unique Denmark, Women Milan, Women Management Paris and Women Management New York.
Iselin was discovered in 1999, but she didn’t begin her career until 2003 by walking with Calvin Klein and Prada.
She then lived in New York City for two years and modelled full time. She then moved back to Norway to study architecture, but continued to work sporadically. Iselin is represented by Women Model Management in New York, Milan and Paris and FM in London. Her mother agency is Team Models in Norway.
At the spring 2010 fashion week, Iselin came back to the runway and walked in 20n fashion shows. In New York Iselin walked for Anne Sui, Rodarte, Marc Jacobs, Phi, Proenza, Schouler, Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, Alexander Wang as well as Rag & Bone.
She then skipped the London Fashion Week and walked exclusively for Prada in Milan. She then went on to walk for designers like Balenciaga, Valentino, Balmain, Chanel, Stella McCartney, Celine, Chloe, Givenchy and Nina Ricci.
Not only has Iselin been on the runway, she has also appeared in editorials for magazines that include French Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Italia and Numero. The covers that she has been on are French, Korean Harper’s Bazaar, Flair, vogue Italia and numerous Norwegian magazines.
Iselin has also done campaigns for Adidas, Hugo Boss, Prada, Jill Stuart, Just Cavalli, Chloe, Balenciaga, Dior, Etro, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, D&G, Versace, Valentino, Hermes, Lancôme, Tommy Hilfiger, Lanvin, Missoni, Mulberry, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander Uniqlo.
She is also known for the playing of the young David Bowie in his 2013 music video The Stars (Are Out Tonight).
Iselin hopes to become an interior designer and have apartment that she has designed in London, New York, Copenhagen, Stavanger or St. Tropez.
