Emma Pei

Emma Pei is a Chinese model. Born on the 19th of December in 1986 she is currently 28 years old. She is from Wuhu, Anhui, China. A city of nearly 3 million people on the Yangtze River. She is represented By IMG models in Paris, IMG models in New York City and Paras Talent Management in Shanghai. She began her modeling career in 2005 locally in China quickly moving on to sign a contract with IMG in 2006. That same year she nabbed a contract with L’Oréal. Following that her career took off quickly becoming a fast celebrity in China. In 2007 she had an incredible nine editorials in Chinese Vogue. Along with that she debuted at the spring Christian Dior couture show in Paris, she later that year walked the Miu Miu and Dries Van Noten fall shows in march. She was photographed in the Moschino and Benetton fall campaigns the same year. Added to her nine editorials she also landed two covers of Chinese Vogue and a 14 page editorial in Teen Vogue. She ended out 2007 by walking in Alexander McQueen and Dries Van Noten shows in Paris in October. She followed up her incredible year in 2007 with an equally as incredible one in 2008. In February she closed Diane Von Furstenberg show in New York as well as walking for several other brands such as DKNY, Vera Wang, Ralph Lauren and many others. That same month she also opened the Betty Jackson show in Paris. That March her and fellow up and coming Chinese model Liu Wen shared the cover of Chinese Elle magazine. She followed that up with two more editorials in Chinese Vogue to end her year. Since then she has walked for Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg, Vera Wang, Lela Rose and was the face of a large Marc Jacobs campaign in 2009. In 2010 she appeared in a movie from Hong Kong called “The Blood Bond” playing a character named Guang Di. In recent years she has been in Chinese Elle and Vogue many times also showing up in Harpers Bazaar Singapore. She has also become a staple on the runway for designers such a Marc Jacobs and Tory Burch during their spring and fall shows. Also notable was a campaign she was a part of in 2011 for Uniqlo. In 2014 Emma in partnership with Chinese Vogue and the Woolmark company went to Australia to show the renewability as well as the fashion behind Australian Merino Wool. While there she filmed a piece showing how the generations of farmers in the area can and have produced the wool while protecting the natural environment and providing a source of income for the rural communities. While there she also showcased five different looks all made from the locally raised wool for a recent annual fashion week in china that showcases wool. That year it was called “Wool in Vogue” and was a continuance of successful weeks dedicated to renewable fabrics including wool that was successful in china in 2012 and 2013.
