After casting, she took catwalk lessons and trained herself to walk well by watching fashion TV. It was this way that she developed her own signature walk.
At only 18 years old she became the face of popular makeup brand, Max Factor and had also signed a contract with the fragrance company, Burberry Brit. She has also been in other advertising campaigns for companies such as Marks and Spencer and Burberry.
In was in 2008 that the model walked her first main fashions show, in her home country of London, she walked for Ashley Isham and Allegra Hicks. In 2009, Maclaren walked for Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Paul Smith and many more. This was the year that she also first travelled abroad as a working model and took part in fashion weeks in Paris, Milan and New York.

She featured in editorials of many others, including Vanity Fair and Vogue. Like many models, Maclaren's aim in the modelling industry is to feature on the cover of Vogue magazine.
Maclaren is most proud of her fashion shoot for Bottega Venetta, and also when she walked one of her first shows in Paris for Christian Dior.
In order to maintain her slim and healthy build, the model trains at a high intensity at least three times a week but makes sure that she is active every day. She also eats a healthy, well-balanced diet of fresh fruit and vegetables and fish, amongst other things. At school, she studied sports science and knew that this was a field that she wanted to get into in the future. It was this class that lead her to become a personal trainer, and start training with Bodyism.
