Danny is a British model born on October 20, 1985 with brown hair and blue eyes and tall at 188 cms. His most notable feature is his smile which is often missing from the smouldering modelling photographs. Raised by a single Mum, Hilary, who is an art teacher, his life was quiet and uneventful for 10 years until his father was named as the famous TV presenter and former politician Robert Kilroy-Silk. His father’s name was not listed on his birth certificate to save him any embarrassment about his real father.
At the age of 13 his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and this added more turmoil to young Danny’s life. Danny was discovered while out shopping in 2003 in Islington in London by a scout for Select Agency. His first appearance as a model was in a print campaign for Harvey Nichols.
He classes some of his closest friends as fellow models Will Chalker, Shaun Haugh, Vincent Lacroq and female model Gemma Ward. Unlike some models, he has input to add to his official blog site and has other career plans after modelling to do with painting and decorating.
Danny is currently signed with Ford Models New York, New Madison in Paris, Why Not in Milan, Priscillas in Australia, View Management Barcelona, Select London and Elite Toronto in Canada. His first work was in print advertising campaigns in 2005, the spring campaign for DSquared2 featuring Cinita Dicker and then for the fall print campaign of DKNY.
2006 follows with more print advertising for Burberry’s spring campaign in a fashion that was inspired by famed photographer Sir Cecil Beaton, H&M, Saks and Calvin Klein. The British TV show, Make me a supermodel had Danny as a coach of the aspiring models. He appeared in editorials for the i-D magazine, Arena and Attitude.
A Burberry fragrance campaign follows in 2007, and then an editorial for GQ Style and the spring cover of Fashion Inc. He renewed his contract with Burberry in 2008 and then didn’t work in modelling until 2011 when he modelled for Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Calvin Klein White Label.
In 2012, he appears in editorials for Russian GQ, GQ Style, Hero, Another Man, Plaza and Details and on the covers of Homme Style and Japanese GQ.
2013 saw more editorials for Hercules, Adon, GQ, Manifesto and i-D magazines. He appeared in advertising for Jaeger and Ermanno Scervino.
In 2014, he again modelled for Dolce & Gabbana, Ermanno Scervino and the amFAR NY Gala Show. As well as being on the front cover of Mojeh, he was also in the editorial of the same edition. 2015 saw the trend for advertising and editorials continue with a Rhodes & Beckett campaign and an editorial for Flaunt.
