Biography

Daisy Lowe is an English model born on January 17, 1989 in Primrose Hill London with 6 brothers and sisters. She went to school at South Hampstead and her parents are Gavin Rossdale and Pearl Lowe. Her mother was a well-known indie actress during the 1990s who now is a fashion designer and her father is the frontman for the band Bush. Daisy is famous for her body, especially her breasts, her glamorous style and her social life, including some famous boyfriends such as Dr Who actor Matt Smith.

In 2013, Daisy took up transcendental meditation that allowed her to remove any negative elements from her life and this included people she knew and it also brought old friends back into her life.

Career

As well as modelling, Daisy has appeared in the movies Confine and Geography of the Hapless Heart and has worked as a DJ. She wrote a cookbook that was released in 2014 called Sweetness and Light with a collection of gluten, dairy and sugar-free recipes for guilt-free treats. Her career began at the age of 2 when she appeared in a music video for Curiosity Killed the Cat and the sleeve of Plastic Bag which was a single by Minty with Leigh Bowery.

When Daisy was 15 she was signed by Select Model Management and in 2006 and 2008 she was the face for Agent Provocateur’s ad campaign.

During 2006, she was photographed by Steven Klein wearing a gold necklace that spelt out Socialite for an Italian issue of Vogue. Daisy was profiled in Harper’s Bazaar and was in advertisements for French Connection and Urban Outfitters.

2007 saw Daisy appear in several editorials including British and Italian Vogue, Jane and W magazines. Appearing nude for i-D, she is on the cover kissing her boyfriend at the time. Signing with Women Management in 2008 she appears in ads for Converse and wears Vivienne Westwood in London.

Becoming the face for Marc Jacobs in 2009, she is also in editorials in several magazines including Italian and Japanese Vogue, i-D and W magazines.

Daisy designs a jewellery line in 2010 with Swarovski Crystals and features on the cover of British Vogue and i-D with an editorial in Japanese Vogue.

In 2010, Daisy collaborated with Morgan a French brand to design and create a range of shies, bags and party dresses all with her glamorous style.

During 2011, daisy appeared on the covers of Playboy, Indie, Schon and Oyster magazines. More editorials followed in London Calling, Oyster and Love magazines in 2012.

2012 saw more ad campaigns for Eleven Paris, Auslander and an editorial in Closer. During 2013, she appeared in Yo Dona Spain, The Sunday Times Style Magazine and made an appearance in Love’s advent calendar.

In 2013, Daisy made appearances for Lancaster in their fall/winter show, Olympia Le Tan spring/summer show and Love magazines advent calendar.

Daisy was in several editorials in 2014 including three issues of Antidote and Wonderland Magazines.

In 2015, she was in an editorial in Ponystep magazine and wore Vivienne Westwood Red Label in fall/winter shows.

Films and Television

A reality TV series in 2008 called the Class of 2008 followed her and four classmates for a documentary series. In 2009, she appeared as herself in the TV series Xpose followed by Le Grande Journal de Canal, The Xtra Factor and Angela and Friends in 2010. In 2012, she appeared as herself in The Amazing Spiderman T4 Premiere special. Daisy was also a guest on Sunday Brunch in 2014.

Her movie career began in 2009 when she played the part of Diane in The First Days of Spring and was followed by the part of Pippa and Edwina in Confine in 2013. She appeared in the short films Sweat and The Place we go to Hide and the TV movie The Feeling Nuts Comedy Night in 2014. During 2015, she has appeared in Pressure as Martha and in Tulip Fever as Carolijn.
