Cecilia Ines Mendez

Cecilia Ines Mendez is an Argentine beauty, entered into the world on April 21, 1986. She was born and raised in Buenos Aires, until her discovery by a model agency scout. Her life changed in 2005, with her first debut for Akris in Paris and the ad campaign for Marithé and Girbaud.

The Early Years

Supreme Management is the agency she signed within 2006, and her career took off. Editorials for V, fall catalogs for Paule Ka and Nordstrom and walking at New York fashion week were just the beginning. Charles David chose her face to represent his line, and Bottega Veneta got her for their campaign.

The list of magazine covers and editorials were endless. From Korean Vogue to Italian flair and Harper’s Bazaar styled in Valentino, Cecilia was everywhere. She walked the Costume National in Milan and Yohji Yamamoto in Paris, both in 2007. The following year brought three more runway shows, a run with ELLE editorials and a new management company. She also did various campaigns with Lupe and Fekkai Advertising. Marie Claire did a beautiful presentation of 15 Heroes by Design in 2009 featuring Cecilia.

The Career Continues

Ralph Lauren appears to have cornered the market on Cecilia from 2012 through 2015. She did 10 or 11 shows just for him. In 2015, she did Carmen Marc Valvo and Ralph Lauren. Fanny Latour-Lambert made a video film production with Cecilia for fall/winter of 2012. She returned to Akris, where she got her first break in 2013, for a Catalog appearance. She was also noted as Best Dressed at The Moment when she walked so elegantly wearing another Ralph Lauren vintage delight. Getty Images are credited with this photographic editorial.
