Brooklyn Decker

Brooklyn Decker is an American model and actress. Although she was born in Kettering, Ohio, in April 1987, she didn’t grow up there. She moved together with her parents in Charlotte, North Carolina. However, her parents had no idea that a few years later she would be discovered in one of the shopping malls from Charlotte and she will become a renowned model and ongoing actress.

Modeling Management

Brooklyn Decker was discovered while she was still attending high school. She was really young when she signed her first contracts with modeling agencies and when she represented a renowned fashion designer that used to make prom dressed, namely Mauri Simone. Moving once again in her life, New York has proved to be a home for Brooklyn Decker, who found success as a model and actress too. She is well-known for being featured in Sports Illustrated, swimsuit editions for a few years in a row, starting with 2006. She graced the cover of the same magazine in 2010. During 2010, she ranked second on the “Maxim Hot 100” women list and 31 on Ask Men list of top “99 most desirable women”. In 2014, she ranked 16th on “Maxim Hot 100” women list.

Career

As soon as Brooklyn Decker moved to New York her career took a turn for the better. She appeared in numerous magazines on their covers or in editorials, such as Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Elle Girl, Vogue, FHM, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Spin. She has also collaborated with the Marilyn Agency in New York and Paris, and the Click Model Management before becoming famous. Victoria’s Secret booked Decker shortly after she posed for Sports Illustrated for a swimsuit catalog. Although she has a career in television and movies at the moment, brands like Lucire, Delia’s, American Eagle, Hollister, Gap, JC Penney and Intissimi will always be associated with her.

Brooklyn Decker is a connoisseur in sports. Cohosting “She Says, Z Says,” is the proof for that. Moreover, she appeared in music videos for Jimmy Buffett and three Doors Down. As for her parts in television shows, she acted for “Chuck”, “Royal Pains”, “Lipshitz saves the World” and “Ugly Betty”. Among the movies, she accepted roles for are “Just Go with It”, “Battleship” and “What to Expect When You're Expecting”.

Personal Life

Brooklyn Decker had an eating disorder because of the pressure of remaining thin, but her father helped her eat healthily and overcome her obsession. Because her parents loved animals, she wanted to be a veterinarian before she chose modeling as a career. She had lots of dogs and cats as pets when she grew up. Decker met famous tennis star Andy Roddick while she was working for Sports Illustrated, who she married on April 17, 2009. Her collaborations with the said magazine did not stop after she became Roddick’s wife. Her parents named her after a horse dear to her mother and she now lives in a part of Brooklyn, New York.
