Born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 11th 1986, Ariel Meredith is an American model whose long career dates back to part time work as early as 1998. Meredith stands 5’10.5’’ in height, has black hair, brown eyes and measures 34 bust, 24 waist and 35 hips with a size 9 shoe and size 2 dress.
Meredith’s modeling career began at the tender age of just fourteen when she was discovered in 1998 after winning a competition in Dallas, Texas. The competition boasted a strong field of five hundred applicants and as a result of her win, Meredith was offered a contract with Campbell Modeling Agency in Dallas and Ford Models in New York. Interest was high as a result of her impressive competition success, and afterwards Meredith received more than thirty call-backs.
During the part time phase of her career in her teenage years, Meredith appeared in high profile demographic magazines including Teen, Seventeen, Teen Cosmopolitan and Cosmopolitan . While still in education, she began to travel across the United States for modeling work and also appeared on MTV’s Fashionably Loud show in 2002. Meredith continued to be a semi regular modeling presence between 2003 and 2007, and this was a result of her decision to continue with her studies and receive a full education before embarking on a full time modeling career. One particular obstacle to overcome came in these intervening years when she was pressured into and subsequently dropped by her agency for refusing to have breast reduction surgery.
Meredith’s fulltime modeling career began in 2008, the year that she debuted on the runway for Vera Wang’s New York Spring show. This particular New York Fashion Week proved to be one of great success and prominence for Meredith, as she appeared on the runway for a total of eleven designers including Nicole Miller and Junya Watanabe, which gave her much recognition among the fashion press and led to her being classes as a rising star in the industry. Following on from New York, Meredith then walked in eight shows in Milan and her success on the runway has continued throughout her career including high profile shows for D&G, Brioni, Baby Phat, La Perla, Elie Saab and many more.
Throughout her career Meredith has also been featured heavily in print, being the face of a Spring/Summer campaign for Dolce & Gabbana in 2009 shot by Mario Testino. Her other print credits include work for Taylor Loft, Cover Girl, Sephora, J. Crew, Victoria’s Secret, Gap, Levi’s, Target and Roca Wear, evidence that her aesthetic appeals to both high and commercial fashion demographics. Meredith has also enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Sports Illustrated, having appeared in their acclaimed Swimsuit Issue in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 . As of 2014, she is currently represented by the New York City based Supreme Management.
