Born in on 29 July 1987, Alice Dellal is a British-Brazilian Socialite and model of Iraqi descent who is best known for her half-shaven hairstyle signature. Born in Brazil to her Brazilian model mother and Iraqi-British born father, Alice is now a heiress to a rich-property tycoon, her grandfather Jack Dellal who was a Billionaire.
Coming from a family whose most of the members are in the showbiz industry, Alice may have gotten her interest in modelling from her Brazilian mother who was a model. Her first cousins, Jemima Kirke and Lole Kirke are famous actresses. Her brother, Alex Dellal runs the famous East London Gallery. Her sister Charlotte is a shoe designer and designs shoes for her shoe line, while her smaller brother is a university student.
Her “rock look” combined with her perfectly shaped body just gives her a supermodel appearance. Her beauty is highlighted by her charming blue/grey eye colour and her 5’5” body frame. Alice made a huge impression in the British fashion world after being a socialite for some time. The 21 year old started her modelling career in the year 2003 during which she appeared in the French Vogue Editorial, photographed by Mario Testino. In 2006, Alice signed with the Select Model Management in London and this is when she began to pursue her modelling career full-time. This definitely kick started her career as years later, she featured on the pages of Japanese Vouge, Italian Vogue, LOVE, L’Officiel, Crash, Dazed and Confused, Elle, Nylon, and Russian L’Officiel
In 2008, she replaced Kate Moss as the new face of Agent Provocateur lingerie collection, walked the fall Vivienne Westwood Red Label show in London, modelled for Alex Wang’s collection of Uniqlo, and in the same year, she modelled for the MNG “Jeans” video. She also modelled for Mango in the year 2008. In 2009, Alice made her went down the catwalk at the Issa’s Autumn/Winter show where she graced the catwalk with her charm, confidence and her unique half-shaven hairstyle. Surprisingly, the other models had their hairstyles fashioned to look similar hers. She also modelled for Marc by Marc Jacob’s spring and the Channel fall ad campaigns in 2012. Karl Lagerfield selected her to be the new face for the Chanel ad campaign.
This year, Alice, Vannessa Paradis, and Kristen Stewart became the new faces of a handbag campaign for the storied French brand. Each woman got her own ad with the Chanel bag that best suited her.
